STEM FAIR

The LION STEM Fair was held at Columbia University, Hamilton Hall 3rd floor,
1130 Amsterdam Avenue(116th Street), New York, NY 10027 on March 4th 2017 from 11am to 2pm.
The purpose of the LION STEM Fair is to generate interest among adolescents and teenagers from New York City high schools in sciences, technology, engineering, and mathematics. The Tayshana Chicken Murphy Foundation paired young women and men from minority backgrounds with college students at Columbia University majoring in Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics. The college students and high school students create STEM projects to be featured at the LION STEM fair at Columbia University.
Our foundation invited Columbia University undergraduates from the Schools of Engineering, Computer Science, and Mathematics to help create a Science Technology Engineering Mathematics Fair with students from local high school Urban Assembly School For The Performing Arts. The high school students created and presented STEM projects with the assistance of Columbia University students. The Columbia University undergraduate students presented very interesting STEM projects emphasizing their majors in Spatial Science, Geomatics Engineering, Environmental Science, and Mechanical Engineering.
The foundation also would like to offer summer internships to participants of the STEM Fair. Your assistance with attaining internships for the high school students would be greatly appreciated. Lastly we are requesting funds and in-kind support to allow the high school students to create excellent STEM projects. Make all donations to our GoFundMe campaign gofundme.com/tayshanachicken
