On Saturday April 5th the Tayshana "Chicken" Murphy Foundation will be hosting a fundraiser talent showcase and vendor event in conjunction with the HANAC Astoria Beacon Program at Junior High School 204 between the hours of 1 – 7pm. This event will be taped by various media outlets because they are highlighting our progress as apart of Chicken’s documentary.

The Tayshana "Chicken" Murphy Foundation plans to create and support programs that cultivate and nurture the minds of at risk youth and teach them the skills to promote peace throughout society. We would like to highlight the talented youth of the Long Island City area via our S.I.M.B.A. program (Strong Intelligent Minds Building Alliances) because Queensbridge is known for breeding talent, but unfortunately the youth is lacking a safe and positive platform to gain exposure.

The Tayshana Chicken Murphy Foundation
will be hosting Youth For Change Night at the Prudential Center with the New York Liberty on Friday August 16th 2013. The BALL N PEACE All Star Game will be on the Prudential Center court before the New York Liberty game from 3:30pm to 4:30pm. Come see future WNBA stars from New York & New Jersey. At 7:30 PM the New York Liberty take on the Washington Mystics. During halftime of the New York Liberty game a ceremony will take place remembering Tayshana Chicken Murphy and honoring the families that also lost children to senseless street violence.
